About GatheringsA number of real-time and virtual gatherings were held between participants at schools participating in the Four Directions project. Annual Summer Institutes brought participants from all over the United States to Haskell Indian Nations University for a week of fun and intense training. One of the virtual gatherings was NetDay 4D held on September 25, 1999. With help from the Bureau of Indian Affairs a number of Four Directions schools were equipped with network infrastructure and an Internet connection. On our NetDay we celebrated locally and together via the net.
